info on 05 pontiac vibe pcm replacement?

No, it's not Toyota's problem. That's like going to Nissan and asking them to cover you Hyundai.

Granted the car is basically a Toyota it's still not their problem.

Have you tried another Pontiac dealership? How long is your warranty for? If the car is out of warranty then you're out of luck.
 
is this covered by warranty at all through toyota? some say yes, others no. my pontiac dealer says its not his problem. half my car is "toyota"...and it cost me 600 bucks to fix it. not quite sure what to do....
 
Even though the car is basically a rebadged Matrix... Toyota has no reason whatsoever to warranty anything on the car. It is a Pontiac and therefore any warranties fall under Pontiac's warranty guidelines. That being said, an 05 Pontiac Vibe would not be covered under warranty no matter what. Pontiac and Toyota both only offered 3 year 36,000 mile warranties on their cars in 2005.

There is nothing you can do. The part failed and had to be replaced.
