Alright. First of all, MERRY XMAS to EVERYONE :)

Second of all, for Xmas, I received...euh... a ... mm.. a Treo 600 :\ Yes I know I know, shame on me! But I still have my T3! :D

Anyway, my point is this. I have a lot of programs on my T3 that I would LOVE to transfer to my Treo(I promess I'll keep using my T3!!). Do I have to keep the same sync name? The problem when I do so is that the Tre600 is not hi res(WHAT A SHAME!) so I'm having A LOT of conflicts obviously. So I hard resetted my Treo and installed a new sync name. It works of course but I have registered programs under my T3 name...

Most developers have low-res versions of their software. If you keep your hotsync name, they should register without a problem.

Merry Christmas...

You can not sync two Palm devices to the same user name on the same PC - it will cause all kinds of conflicts.

You can sync (not legally) two different Palm's to two different PC's using the same user name and thus have all of your programs on both devices.

You don't want to do this for any length of time in my humble opinion because then you can get confused as to what's where etc.

I speak from the exact same experience so trust me on this - make up your mind which one your going to use for PDA purposes and then stick to it.

I'm using the T3 as the PDA and I beam my address book to the 600 and keep it charged and use it primarily as the phone and nothing more.

Alright. Thanks for your replies!

I've been tweaking my Treo for 48 hours now and I definitly think Palm was making a BIG mistake by making it a PDA! Once you taste the T3, the Treo's PDA capacity is literrally ridiculous. It's almost a joke!
I've read about the 650 and, from what I understood, the ONLY "good" thing that comes over the 600 is the bluetooth and even for that, it seems it's buggy.

I really think I'll stick on my T3 as a PDA but it's pretty hard to carry both the Treo and the T3 :\ A REAL shame the T3 is not a phone too :(

*edit to add something*

Moose. What type of "syncing" do you do between your Treo and your T3? I tried finding on my T3, under the "phone" settings, the Treo600 but it's not an option. Did you download something?

Nope, my company is in limbo. We are accepting bids from various cell companies and are working towards a new contract with phone's /pda's. We are not certain which way we are headed and as such: I'm in limbo.

You can beam between the two devices back and forth.....I sync the T3 and then beam everything over to the Treo off of my desktop.

My laptop is configured to sync with the 600 and as such I share my Outlook information in that matter although I only recommend doing so if you have Pocket Mirror Pro so that you can control the sync.

I've got every single program that's on my T3 on the Treo. The only difference is that the Treo has some of them on the SD card rather than RAM.

What I'm doing is necessitated only because I'm awaiting a company decision (as noted in previous post) so I'm just keeping options open.

We will be moving either to a Tungsten E, a Treo 650 or a Blackberry 7100t (yep it's back on the table).

The only way to communicate between a 600 and T3 is via IR.

Ok, so living in Lima, Peru, I don't have access to the latest and greatest (Bleeding Edge). I'm currently using the T3 linked to the T39m linked to the Jabra.

So - to make a call - with the T3 in hand, I select the name - dial the number and it's transferred to the BT headset. Phone in pocket - headset on my ear - Palm in hand.

For SMS - I check it on the Palm and respond - phone is stil in my pocket.

Snappermail - connect through the phone and retrieve messages - phone is still in my pocket.

Surfing the internet - well, I don't do a lot of surfing - but with Web Pro I can check the occasional site I want to visit using the t39m and the T3.

The only thing I'm missing now is WiFi - and this is limited here in Lima, so until they expand the service - I guess my steup will have to do.
