Individual Year's GPA vs. Cumulative GPA?

The GPA for my Freshmen and Sophomore years were horrible, like 1.8, but the GPA for my junior year so far had to at least be a 3.0, and i'm certain my Senior year is going to be just as good if not better... so, are Colleges going to pay attention more to the cumulative GPA, or the GPA for my Junior and Senior years more?

I'm hoping those Freshmen and Sophomore years don't come back to bite me
