Indie song with the lyrics "...only seventeen"?

I'm looking for a indie song but the only lyrics I definitely is "...was only seventeen", I can't remember if it was "I was" "She was" or "We were", but I think it was "She was". The song is a single male singing with a slow tempo with a few instruments. I believe I first heard it while listening to the Margot and Nuclear So and So's station on Pandora. This isn't by Winger or Jimmy Eat World.
