All my life I was listening mainstream dirt. I was blindlessly listening to it, I didn't listen to lyrics or nothing. I put on headphones and conformed to pop music. I slap myself today for doing that, I have scars, lol. The movie (500) Days of Summer gave me a new perspective on music. Indie is the best shit there is... Blizzard to a breeze.
