I've read that Harrison Ford hopes Sean Connery will return for the movie however Seasn gave an interview this week saying he's finished doing movies and is now retired.

Do you think he'll do it? I think it will be alot better with Connery in it + more likely to make more cash at the box office.

I would love to see this film happen but it has been delayed so often that I wont believe it is going to happen untill filming has actually started on it!

I think harrison was fantastic in the past indiana jones films but i think he should leave it there, he looks too old to pull it off now.

^^^Well he said in his Jonathan Ross interview last week that the film is 99.9% gonna happen so you'll just have to deal with it.

Oh i will still go and see it and hope he proves me wrong and is as sexy as in the other films! Maybe indiana jones will look even better as an older character who knows! I just have my doubts....

Harrison Ford's getting on a bit now, not sure if he can do another one but if the plot was suited to his age, I'm sure it'll be interesting. I don't think Connery will return either, it'll just confuse audiences "Which one is the father again?" ;)

I just read that producer Frank Marshall has been talking about Indy 4 and he said that the storyline will follow on from the first three films and "Harrison is going to play the character and it is going to be 10 or 12 years later," So it looks like the people who wanted a older Indy are going to get their wish!

I just found some more info from Harrison Ford talking about the possible story for Indy 4 and he says:

"Indiana Jones is going to be older and the story will therefore take place in a different historical period of time. We are not going back to World War II and the Nazis but I think that it will be relatively the same type of tale - George's special mix of Saturday matinee western serial and crypto-spiritual sort of stuff.

George is the one who generates these movies. Steven and I make them. We come on board after George has prescribed the territory.

Sometimes we don't agree and there was one script in particular that I didn't like so it was back to the drawing board. Now, after however many years, I'm delighted that we have something that we all have confidence in."

I was just reading an interview with producer Frank Marshall on the BBC website and he talkied a bit about Indy 4:

"You have made a habit of working with the best in the industry, such as Steven Spielberg on the Indiana Jones films?

Yes and Robert Zemeckis on Roger Rabbit and Back To The Future. Those were certainly fun adventure stories. I have a vivid imagination and I love fantasy and adventure.

Are you looking forward to re-teaming with Steven on Indiana Jones 4?

Oh absolutely. It's one of the reasons we're going to make the movie. We sort of rode off into the sunset after the third one and then were all at this AFI tribute to Harrison. We were backstage - George, Steven, Harrison and I - and we said: "That was really fun. We should do that again." As you go on in your career things get more serious and you tend to miss your frienRAB. But we just had such a great time on those movies that we thought we'd see if we could come up with a story that was worthy for a film. We're getting close now so it's really an enjoyable experience for us all to be together again.

Have you got a start date for filming?

Not really but we're trying to get our schedules right and finish the script. I would say it would be some time next year, 2007. Obviously, we want to get it right. There's no reason to do it unless it's going to be great."
