Indiana Jones 4- The George & Steven egos of doom?

Oh my God, they've finally done it. Not content with mucking up Star Wars, Lucasfilm now want to dig up the almost bus pass entitled Harrison Ford to attempt to entertain us, I presume in the same way Cocoon did,(remember Don Ameche jogging?).
I can only guess that they intend to digitally transfer Ford's head onto Jackie Chan's body, in much the same fashion of Christopher Lee's body transplant in Star Wars.
The only cracks we're likely to hear this time are Ford's hips rather than his trusty bullwhip. The thought of adding this DVD to my beloved Indy Trilogy gives me shudders, how about you guys?

i dunno sharkboy, the only problem with indy 4 is whether Lucas can downsize his own ego enough to get the darn thing made. he recently turned down a script by Frank Darabont coz he wasn`t happy with it, remember that he`s the guy who wrote the shawshank redemption. kind of says it all really, star wars prequels anyone???

Why don't they leave it alone!!!???!!!

Is there some rule in Hollywood that if a film has done well it has to have as many sequels churned out before people get offended and start rioting???

Indiana Jones was brilliant, Indy 2 was great and Indy 3 was good. Note the downward trend here. I always like the idea of trilogies (with the exception of the awful 2nd and 3rd Matrix films) so why not leave it there?

I can't believe anyone would turn down a script from Frank - that guy is a top notch writer! Lucas has certainly lost the plot!

And, it pains me to say this, but Harrison Ford is no longer an action hero. Yes he has got a great body for his age (What Lies Beneath - phwoar!) and he's still got a certain hanRABome charm, but he's not the Indiana I know and love (and I mean LOVE!!!).

Is he still with that twig of an actress? Cow.

If they do make another one then SURELY they can't set it in the 30s again!
Due to Harrison's age thenthey MUST set it in the 50s (20 years later) which is more or a rock and roll era than a boy's own adventure era!

The project is doomed from the start!

Leave well alone.

The amount of time they are spending thinking about it and deciding on script, I think it is going to be GREAT. They know the downfalls if this enRAB up as the worst Indiana Jones. They have all moved on creatively (although Ford could do with a hit) so they aren't going to do it unless it is fantastic. As for Ford being in his 60s, I don't think it matters, but I expect they'll give him a younger sidekick.
