Independent of context, what does this Japanese comment mean?

The best I can make out is that it's a baseball comment (along the lines of "that was an ace pitch"), but it's so random that I think I must have got it wrong. Could it be anything else?
I know, I know. ;-; But that's all I have. It was written that way, and starts a conversation that goes on to have nothing whatsoever to do with baseball.
 
Um..I think it is fragment and it is a little difficult to predict complete sentence
maybe...???????????? "He's an ace pitcher"
