Incredible Hulk trailer

its a new version - not really a sequel and not really a remake.

due to not many people liking the ang lee version. i think edward norton co-wrote this one
 
Ed Norton has confirmed it isn't a sequel as it makes no reference to the Ang Lee movie. However, it is not an origin movie so I think as a viewer you can either decide in your own mind if it is a sequel or not.

This is interesting though (in spoilers just in case)

William Hurt's character Thunderbolt White, makes a cross-over cameo in Ironman, thus connecting the two films in the same continuity

By the way that trailer got me more excited about Hulk than the entire Ang Lee movie did. the CGI looks a lot better. Did Weta do it? I think their CGI tenRAB to be more authentic than ILM who did the first Hulk
 
This looks awesome. I liked the Ang Lee one too though. Basically as long as they get Hulk right, (ie: not have some wrestler painted green playing him) I will enjoy it. :D
 
I thought the first one was total rubbish. The awful CGI hulk made it totally unwatchable with him bouncing around the screen the whole time. 30 years on and the tv series is STILL scary to this day, why didnt they leave it as an actual person playing the hulk.

This still gives me the creeps........watch this and tell me that CGI is better ?

Yes, it is kind of a reboot and not an origin story. Stan Lee does make a cameo as does Lou Ferrigno

Just to clarify, the film isn't made by Marvel, it is made by Universal. That Marvel logo appears at the bigging of all film adaptations based on Marvel Comics characters despite the studio making the film, such as X-men made by Fox and Spiderman made by Sony

Anyone who's read the comics knows that there's lots of different incarnations of Hulk. So I did like Ang Lee's one and I think I'll like this one too.

It would be really great to see the 'grey' Hulk on the big screen one day! Half the size, half the strength, with a voice! And a total smart @ss!! :)
 
That has to be the most underwhelming trailer I've ever seen. It looks cheap as hell, closer to tripe like Aliens Vs Predator or Resident Evil than the likes of The Dark Knight or Iron Man.

At this point the CGI looks a bit ropey, but the worst aspect was the awful design of The Hulk - I think the Ang Lee movie got it right, very Jack Kirby-esque, but this one looks like it was based on 1970s Hulk doll.



Actually it is made by Marvel, just as Iron Man is (they've just started their own studio up to make their own films). It was the first film that was made by Universal.
 
I thought the trailer looked ok but its not one of my must films this year. However I will still go and see it!

Here is some stuff from Dark Horizons website about problems on the film:

"On the eve of the debut of the first trailer for Marvel and Universal's big-budget "The Incredible Hulk", word has leaked out at Deadline Hollywood Daily that a behind-the-scenes feud is underway.

Seems that the film's writer and lead star Edward Norton is in disagreement with Marvel Studios over editing and final cut of the film. Norton, director Louis Leterrier, Marvel Studios chairman David Maisel and Marvel Studios president of production Kevin Feige have apparently been in tense talks this week to try and resolve the problem.

When Norton boarded the project, one of the conditions was that he was "promised tremendous involvement and access" which included him rewriting Zak Penn's script. Now, with a month to go before the final cut of the film is 'locked', there's "a lot of posturing going on between Edward's camp and Marvel over how you edit the final version."

Norton has famously had some similar behind-the-scenes issues before with his films, notably "American History X" and "The Italian Job". There's fear that without his support the film could tank this Summer, and combined with Ang Lee's lacklustre 2003 take on "Hulk", it would pretty signal the end of any chance for the character having a film franchise.

The good news is that whatever the situation, the problems are expected to be resolved one way or another very quickly so this won't be drawn out at least."
 
The trailer looks promising, but many movies that have promising trailers didn't live up to the expectation.

So, I guest I have to wait for this Hulk version to come up before giving my opinion.
