Incentives for Toyota or Nissan?

I'm buying a car in late January or early February of 2009. I'd like to do it now because of the great incentives that both Toyota and Nissan has but have no money. However the end as early as Jan 2 & Jan 9 of 2009. Does anyone know about any upcoming incentives for 2009 or any idea how the incentives usually work? Or what can I do to get the best possible deal? It took me 5 years to pay off a $13,000 dollar car because the interest rate was so high and of course I was upside down.

No way to know this far in advance since most of us can't predict the future. Programs change from month to month depending on how their sales figures look like for the previous month. If the deal looks good right now, I would suggest pulling the trigger now. I was faced with a similar dilemma last May, I'm glad I pulled the trigger then because 2 months later, the deals weren't there anymore...even now, 7 months later, there's nothing out there that could beat the deal I got last May.
