I know that many things can, and should be, compromised upon, so that both parties feel as though they have gained something through the negotiation process. But, there are times when someone has to capitulate to the other. An example would be when one partner wants to live in the country and the other wants to live in the city. Or, when one partner feels that one partner should stay home with the children, and the other wants a two-income household. Or, perhaps one partner wants to get a new pet, and the other is adamantly against doing so. These types of issues require that someone put their partner's needs above their own. So, in your marriage, who is most likely to give in, and who usually gets what they want?
