In windows media player i cant see my video?

i can hear the audio but for the video i see blue bars, how fo i see the video. it is an avi file and its on windows media player, plz telll my how to fix it
thnx last to answerers it worked on vlc media player

click run.
go to anywhere but here.

I totally agree with Hobbz, but have something else to add to it.

WMP has a very poor selection of codecs (decode the video and plays it) the audio is in a very general format, so that's why you hear it, but don't see it. AVI is a very general format, yet it is strange, it's as if there are 'sub' AVI formats. 99% of the things I watch, cannot be viewed on WMP, and all work on VLC and so try VLC. 99% sure it'll work!
