In which Jesse realizes she has to grow up.

My summer, so far, has gone by rather quickly with nothing of note happening, other than busting my ass for three weeks in summer school so I can graduate this year. I

But that's my problem - I don't deal. I seriously lack the ability to cope. Or maybe I'm just over exaggerating in my moment of panic, or something. But either way, Jesse and dealing aren't good friends.

don't worry collage is just like high school you make a group of friends which you always hang out with and you do the same stuff as you did in high school the only thing that changes is your friends.

be careful not to party and neglect your classes to much. too many of my friends lost scholarships that way.

AND you have to have shitloads of money. I have barely any. I have to find one with dorms because I can't stand living with my douchebag stepdad. So, then I have to pay for stuff like that. I think I'll be able to handle it. I'm pretty careful with my money and I enjoy working most of the time.

It just sucks cause I'm having enough trouble managing things now and not neglecting anyone or anything but if I add MORE working and more classes to that...sigh.

But I'm excited so, Jesse, just look at the positive things. Change CAN be a good thing. It'll turn out good especially if you have a boyfriend backing you up.

Live for the day. Find comfort and joy in all things, big and small. Never allow yourself to be stepped on, stepped over, or put down. Big changes are only as big as you make them. This could be the most stressful, nerve wracking, difficult period of your young life, or it could be the best. Opportunities await you. You have closed a few doors, but so many more have opened.

Allow my cliches and fortune cookie lines to aid and inspire you as you quest through life. Good luck.

Jesse, this is so exciting. It's going to be scary, yes. It's going to be hard, yes.

While growing up can be hard and painful, the freedom that you have is worth it. It's funny; often times I say that I miss being a kid. I miss having my shit paid for and not worrying about having no food for two weeks. Would I go back to living with my parents? Fuck. No.

Embrace the change. You can walk around your house naked, ALL DAY! You will have your OWN place to come home to everyday. ;)

I just have one peice of advice that comes from my experience. MAKE SURE that you have rent/bill money before you buy things for yourself. You will realize how much of a filthy bitch Wal*Mart reallyis.

The good thing is that you are with your boyfriend. You have someone to vent to and help with the finances(he has a job, right?).

You'll be okay, sweetie. It'll be a blast.

oh, i forgot to give you any real advice so here it goes

apply for all the scholarships you can.

talk to the professor a lot and make it look like you really interested in the class (always ask questions in class try to answer the ones he gives and sit in the front) that way you can have your grade changed from a C to a because he think you try when you really don't

remember when people ask you to join their study group they are usually trying to get you to do the homework and then copy it ( i have only been asked to join one study group were people did not copy me and was in honors physics for physics majors and the study group was the whole class) so try to join study groups with people who actually take the class seriously.

don't help people in classes that don't deserve help i mean the people who come early to class and ask to copy homework or ask you to explain what is going to be on the test and then if you don't help them they give you this BS lecture about how they are struggling with their other classes and were up tell 3 doing writing a paper for English ( probably because they were out drinking tell 2) if you help these people you will only raise the average of the class and since collage is graded on a curve you actually lower you grade (in some classes a 60% average is a A or B in the class)

my collage life is fun.
