In Tribal Wars, am I at disadvantage if starting at the very rim of the map?

I am playing tribalwars and just joined world 55 (about 3 weeks after it started). My village is located at the very rim of the map and farms are pretty far away. Am I at disadvantage to the players starting in the center?
