In the UK Do single parents get any financial help when they go to college?

Im thinking of doing a part time or maybe full time course when my son goes to nursery this september but im worried about the cost.
 
Sorry this is going to be slightly vague- you should be able to get help with childcare costs with both full and part time courses and there may be other funds available the best 2 sources to use is your lone parents advisor at the job centre (if you have one) or to go directly to the college/university you are interested in and then ask them- they should have financial advisor's there that can tell u if there is any government funding/ charity help (e.g. the princess trust)/ student loans and grants/ bursaries and any direct funding from the institution you are wishing to attend.
Your local education authority might also have some info on this or be able to point you in the direction:)
