In the Simpsons episode "Homer the Smithers" (Season 7, Episode 17. Prod. code. 3F14) why did Smithers attack Homer? Technically, the former began the fight after a failed attempt to get Smithers re-hired back to Mr. Burns. Was it because Smithers was annoyed by Homer's remark which he said to him, "You shouldn't have gone away in vacation.", which angered Smithers and had him and Homer engage in a fight perhaps?
