what the society wants? Basically my thesis is :
The social expectations in Ancient Greece of men and women are reflected through Homer’s epic poem, the Odyssey, were the individuals are forced between what they want and what the society expects of them.
The problem is that i don't have good information on the males from the Odyssey and through research. Its mostly about the women in Ancient Greece..
Any suggestions?

One of the basic thematic threads that run throughout Greek Tragedies is "Pride goes before the Fall".
The abduction of Helen was not the reason the war occurred it was because of man's pride will not allow this transgression of the sanctity of hearth and home .
Helen's defection to Paris is the reason for the war against Troy which led Odysseus on his ten year hiatus from home where his wife remained loyal and faithful where as he stayed gone for so long in the arms of another woman and just how loyal he was to his wife .
Good luck !
