So my filly and my mare both just recently died (Strangles outbreak in the barn, and it took the filly right out.. My mare had to be put down due to severe respiratory complications..). Before, I had my mare for 3 day eventing and a filly for an endurance prospect..
I feel like I should switch disciplines, so I don't have to compare my new horse to my old horses, and so that I don't have to be in emotional pain over their loss anymore. So I have a few horses I'm looking at, as either a hunter under saddle or western prospect.. and I was wondering if you guys could help me choose one from a few of my options?
This would be a project.. How's his confo?

This would be my sure thing horse that I could hop right in on:

And this one I would have to import, how is his conformation? My online friend told me he's the best guy out there, and I don't know if he would be worth importing or not. http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/horses/1768220
I really like this one..

And I really want a gelding guys, since I don't want to be reminded of my old horses. And a low price range too... I don't want to pay a lot for a replacement I'm just gonna learn a new discipline on..
Any tips for getting over the grief? And if you can give me any tips on how to fit a sidesaddle that would be great as well.
