In Michigan, where is a good, deep, dense area to camp?

Not a camp ground with trailors and mobile homes.
I'm talking good miles and miles of trees untouched by foundation of homes
An area away from people, streets, cars, homes, etc. Looking for a good place to do some real tough camping for a few weeks and possibly a whole month. Wilderness styled.
And if any with a small river or lake/pond near within 15 miles would be good if possible.
