In martial arts, what is more important to train for? Endurance or Power?

I'm working on developing a weight training program.

Now to develop muscular endurance, you need to do about 3 or 4 sets of 15 reps per exercise
To develop muscular power, you need to do about 4 or 5 sets of 3 to 5 reps per exercise

Completely opposite ends of the spectrum.

So if you're training for a grading where knock outs are not allowed, you just need to last 20 or so 2 minute fights, it sounds like endurance is better, but power is faster.

Which would be more important to train? Or is there a way to train both?

Thanks, your answer gives me some insight and ideas.
Unfortunately I don't have anyone at the moment (from my club). I'm looking, but not finding yet since I'm working when they are, and they are when I'm not. So I'm trying to do what I can alone for the moment outside of my training.
