a higher knowledge? Curious teen here.
There's this idea that certain blind people, such as seers and oracles, have a higher knowledge of the world and can sense the future such as in the Greek trilogy of Oedipus; Oedipus Rex, Oedipus at Colonus, and Antigone where an oracle told King Laius, Oedipus' father, that Oedipus would one day kill him and marry Oedipus' mother, which he did. Where did this belief originate?
Even in modern day, such as video games, the tradition continues as in the game Fable 2, where the Hero is guided by a blind seer, Theresa.
Let's keep this respectful and on-topic, shall we?
Thanks in advance,
Grey
