In light of what we now know about homosexuality from rigorous study in highly

regarded journals...? How can people continue to deny that a large segment of the gay community is the product of some sort of abuse at the hands of another, i.e. it is an illness brought on by abuse.

Please see such excellent studies as 'Sexual Abuse of Boys' by Holmes, et al. Published in JAMA in 1998. http://jama.ama-assn.org/content/280/21/1855.full

I quote from the text: "Abused adolescents, particularly those victimized by males, were up to 7 times more likely to self-identify as gay or bisexual than peers who had not been abused (P<.001)."

That's seven times more than straight children, now that's a whopping difference. That's not just a little more likely to be gay, that's wayyyy more likely to be a gay.

Clearly the angry homosexual will instantly argue, "Why look at me! I've ne'er been molested and here I am, queer as a three dollar bill!" But alas, our memories, especially those of our formative years, the unpleasant ones, to boot, aren't terribly reliable. Literature, however is. Who can deny that a huge component of gaiety is the untoward sequel of sexual abuse? When will we speak the truth of this issue?
