In Interveiw With the Vampire, what did Lestat want to tell Louis?

In Interview With a Vampire, on page 330, Lestat says, "I wanted to talk to you so much, That night I came home to the Rue Royale I only wanted to talk to you!" And then Louis says, "What was it you waned to tell me?". After that it says that Lestat seems apologetic. What did Lestat want to tell Louis?
It would be really nice if you could answer this, I've been wondering about it for a while now...
