in general, should presidents military powers be limited?

yes george w bush was a good example of how they might have too much power, but in the past, has it been the same? do our presidents reaallly abuse their commander in chief status to the point where we should limit it more than we do??
 
before the Military can do anything it has to be approved by congress. Exept for the Marine Corps the Marines Have to go anywhere the President tells them with out congress approval

I think that congress puts too much pressure on him already. He should be able to control without limitations.
 
the power of the president is already limited, he has to get the approval of congress to declare war and even during a war congress can cut funding and end the war. How much more do you want to limit it?
 
The government will always need to be kept in check because it can have too much power and limit people's liberties, such as the USA PATRIOT Act.
