Why not look within instead of a book?

What do 'you' think enlightenment is? Remember that 'discontent' is only allowed by the individual. Not everyone 'sees' discontent, it is in the eyes of the beholder 'only.' That was in Freuds' day, this is a 'new' day.
I read something that changed my life years ago by a gentleman named Sri Nasargedatta Maharaj. His book was called "I Am That."
He said "we may not be able to change the circumstance that we are in, but we "can" change our attitude about it."
Another example of enlightenment would be to realize that when we accept the entire world, warts and all, and not just the parts that please us, several new doors begin to open for us within as well as without....
Most of us were taught to only accept the 'good' things in life. This is damaging to teach. This teaches the individual 'duality.' Not a healthy teacher.....
Accepting the whole picture, and not just the beautifully painted sky, automatically brings peace into one's existence. It becomes stronger with practice.
