In fl is what is the laws when it comes to "saying no" to being called into work?

I just worked 17 days in a row. Finally got a day off yesterday. My boss called me wanting me to come in but for the first time in 3 years, I sead no. No he is telling every one your fired if you don't come when i say come and all this crap. Can he really do that.. I can understand showing up for schualed days. But firing you for not coming in on your day off?

Oh and the reason i had to work 17 days in a row.. Same boss on vacation.. Ironic aint it.

There is no law about it, as long as they are paying you overtime for more then 40 hours in a week.

If you don't have a contract that says you have guaranteed time off, yes, he can do that.
