Hey guys, story is, I lost my precious D900 after only a couple months of usage. Dropped out of my hoodie on my way to school. I loved the sweet looks and slimness, but it was a step back from my old Sharp 903SH in many ways. I'd take the 904 anyday if only I could actually call someone with it. I realized though all this that it's time for me to move on. I think I'm going to go with a smartphone now.
I don't have any real requirements as I have never had a smartphone before.
My preferences are as follows:
QWERTY keypad
WiFi
Faster CPU (more than 200Mhz)
Camera
Windows Mobile
850 band
Like I said, the are preferences so I'm up for any suggestions. After about 3 hours of looking up phones in GSMArena's database, these are the phones I found closest to my needs.
1) HP iPAQ hw6915 - nothing I can really complain about with this one, just that a lot of people are not happy with the 240 x 240 QVGA screen.
2) Nokia E61 - Main problems with it are the Symbian OS, and it looks like there may be a new model out with a camera which is what I think I would miss on the phone. There are just some moments in life where it's nice to have even a mediocre 1.3 MP camera. If you look at my phone history D900 > 903SH > S700. All of these were top of the line CAMERA phones when I bought them. I simply can't see myself not having a camera with my phone, even if it's a mediocre one.
3) Sony P990i - Lack of 850 band, soft keys (I find them unreliable and a hassle to work with), and OS again. On the bright side, I already have a couple of Memory Pro Duo sticks for my PSP that I could share in just a few minutes of backing up and imaging the card.
