...they really do. Please help? I know at top is the Executive Chef.. He does all the purchasing, hiring, and menu planning

Then the sous chef.. All I know is he is second to the exec. chef

Station Chefs.. I know that they prepare a number of diff. foods like fish, soup, sauces, roast, etc

Then there are the line cooks.. and Im sure they do the preparing too

So what exactly does the sous chef do? Do they actually make the meals and what does it mean when station cooks "prepare"?
What do line cooks do?? Do they just assist station cooks and help prepare"?
