In college do you get a planner?

Do you get a planner provided or do you need to buy your own? I know in high school you get them provided.
 
I'm sure it depends on the school. I went to the University of Washington, and while they didn't give us day planners, the University Bookstore had some as cheap as $5, and as expensive as about $30 for the leather-bound letter-sized planner with the university's emblem embossed in gold.
