I built all the pieces for the space ship to the max, and I launched, however, when I check the victory screen, it keeps saying 16 turns till it gets to the destination, and each turn it remains the same. And each turn the estimated arrival year increases by one. It's been about 20 turns now, and it still says 16 turns till arrival, the number isn't decreasing. I won diplomatic victory, but I don't think that would affect it would it?
