...monks always seem to suffer?...? From what I have read so far on Buddhism, it is a very peaceful, non-violent religion, so i don't get why they would be attacked...
Is it the government/army's way of "breaking" the civilians or something? like, "destroy their spiritual beliefs, and they have nothing" sort of thing.
Recently on the news, there were stories that some monks had been taken hostage..
