explosions, heavy objects falling on sees? In cartoons, characters frequently get catapulted into space (via explosions, heavy objects falling on seesaws etc..). In the real world, if an object has a mass of 50 Kg and gets catapulted by an explosion at ground level into space (use an altitude of 100 km), what is its initial velocity?
