In Animal Crossing City Folk, how do you get the 2nd fishing pole?

I'm trying to get the 2nd fishing pole but I cant find it. I know you get it from Nook, but I've had the game since Christmas, but Nook hasn't had it in stock at all! I even upgraded the store to Nookington's so the fishing pole will be there every day, but still no fishing pole 2.0. I even messed with my wii's time. Every 5 minutes I would warp a day, still no pole. Do I have to do something special to get it? Please Help!
