have intimacy issues? I'm in a long-distance relationship with someone I met online. We haven't met yet, but we will soon. We were just friends for a couple years before we realized we have feelings for each other. We've seen each other on video, too, so we know what each other looks like, and we know what each other sounds like.

She has depression and low self-esteem about her weight and how she looks and isn't happy with her body. She wasn't always that way though.

We feel so close to each other, and we've even felt comfortable talking about intimate things we want to do with each other; however, when it comes to actually meeting in person, she has said she doesn't feel happy or comfortable with her body anymore. I love her and care about her very much and have imagined making love to her (and she has too), but it sounds like she actually might not be comfortable with that. I feel frustrated about that, after all we've talked about what we want to do with each other. It would be my first time, and with someone I truly love, I'd feel like I'm missing out on something. But I know I shouldn't force anything. I really think she is beautiful though, and I tell her that - she says it helps a little, but from what I've seen of her behavior and what she says, it's not enough. Is there anything I can do to help her feel better about herself?
