finished. Driver behind me complains? I was next in line in a gas station waiting for my turn to fill-up. The driver in the first pump finished filling up and then drove off. I then drove to the front to fill-up. The driver on the second pump (who was almost done) comments sarcastically by saying "you couldn't wait a minute, could you"? I said, "well you can pass anyway". He responds by saying sarcastically again, "sure I can". He then looks back at the line-up and says, "see what you've done". I apologize to him and just drive off to the full service section.

What did I do wrong? I don't see why the other driver should get mad when he can pass and drive off anyway. I remember him commenting too that I should follow the direction of the flow of traffic. I believe that's what I did. It's not as if I drove up to the pump in an opposite direction. Please tell me what I did wrong?

"I'm sorry that you were annoyed," is what I'd say. I don't think you did anything wrong. He was just in a sarcastic mood & would have found something to get sarcastic about, if not at the gas station, then somewhere that day. Of course, some people always act a certain way. It's like they're walking/driving cases of road rage, ready to explode over anything. So, forget about telling him what he could have done. He isn't likely to appreciate the unsolicited advice. You don't want to tangle with such nutcases, or any stranger you meet in public.

Let's send him our love & prayers. Ok. I just sent him him a blessing & wished him a better path. That seemed the natural thing to do when I closed my eyes. Let's hope he finds a better path through his life.

~SheSul~ needs to shut it, for the record...

Anyway, don't worry sweetie. Sounds like somebody just got a ferret up his ass and felt like taking it out on you. Don't take strangers' hostility personally, it happens to everyone.

No two minds think alike. You were being right in your thinking and he needed to blow off some steam and you be the brunt of it. Stand your ground next time and let him blow. It's him , not you.
