In a fully automated civilization, do you think those who are in control

would do away with those who are not? I've often wondered this. I sometimes refer to them as "the elite" - those few individuals around the world who generally control everything behind the scenes. For now, they need us as their workers. But some day, we may well be out-dated. We could be a drain on the system in their eyes, as there's nothing we could contribute to the world that the automated civilization itself wouldn't already be doing.

Hmmmmnnn...

I think power requires many followers. If they got rid of everyone then who would they have power over? I don't think they care for human life, however, I do think they crave a population to manipulate and control. Having everything fully automated is not their goal. Look at how they have intentionally held back US car companies from competing in the economical/hybrid market? I think the goal is to have every PERSON fully automated....using their debts as a form of slavery.....fully trackable, fully compliant. They will never contribute to a fully automated world, because that defies their whole purpose, besides if they put us in the postition where 99 % of the population has nothing to contribute and nothing to lose wouldn't they be in big trouble?? They have to keep us believing we are free, because they are greatly outnumbered and could be easily overthrown if they didn't have the general population completely brainwashed.
