Should be relatively straightforward. You may need to adjust the linkage which is a good idea anyway.

If it is bent to the point where the lever is not usable I guess I would take it off heat it up and see if it can be straightened enough to use the lever until a replacement is available.

Did you drop it? My friend just did 2 days ago. We went to our local Duc shop but they don't stock it. It will be ordered in 7 days he said (yeah right). If it is just the lever it will cost you $120 plus tax.
We went to a local motorshop and he asked if they can bend it a little bit. They clamped it on a vise grip table and just push it with a plier. It worked well. It made a little scratch but it is usable while he ordered an aftermarket rearset. I suggest that you have it wrapped with towel when you push it back to minimize any scartches.

Gravel is the freakin worst, once I had to overshoot a corner on a backroad cause a truck lost a bit. On the way out it wasn't there and on the way back there it was.

Thank God there wasn't a car coming in the other lane, cause you pretty much have to let the bike run straight when you hit it.

His bike dropped while parked. It was bumped by little kids (monster really) playing around. On a flat surface, the first thing to hit the ground was the gear lever and the front side mirror. The levers are a little pliable and it will bend back if forced a little bit. Sorrry to hear about your little incident.

Hey guys I'm back. So I had a little incident and I decided to do the following.

So the bike right now is at Ducati, they are going to check on Tuesday if there's any damage other than what's visible.

What I'll need to repair is the following.
Front faring has a crack
Left front mirror is scratched
Left faring is scratched / cracked
Belly is scratched / cracked.

So since I have a limited bike, I'm shipping the body pieces to a guy in New Hampshire who paints race bikes who will be able to fix the damage.

I ordered an after market gear level from the like above, which will arrive on Tuesday. Ducati will put it on and get the bike running.

I'm going to get CF parts from Shif Tech for the mirror (so that's a wash).

Also, Ducati in Italy, has all pre-painted nicky haden parts. Since my bike is limited, I'm going to order all new pre-painted nicky handen parts for my bike and LEAVE THEM IN STORAGE. This way, I can run the bike with the painted stuff, and if something scratches or can't be repaired, I can sell the parts to another person with Nicky Haden, or when I decide to keep the bike as a collectiable, I'll have brand new farings to put on the bike.

I've also decided to install the new T exhast system and AMS levers for brake and clutch.

So that's my story.

I'm ok, my gear is barely scratched at all. The helmat will need a bit of work, but not much at all. My leather pants and SIDI boots saved the bike from any serious damage.

It sucks, but hey! At least I get some sick after market stuff out of it.

What makes people think a Nicky Haden rep is something especially collectable?
Its an 848 with a tacky paint job.No special parts or upgraded components.
Am I missing something?
Same goes for the Bayliss rep.Cant see it ever being worth significantly more than any other 1098R in the future.
