im on the track team as a sprinter this year in jv. nxt year im gonna be a sophomore but i wanna actually win points for my team in varsity. i have from now to next Jan before the season starts. im really slow and right now
100s- about 14 or 15. i wanna try to run it in 12 sec or 13 maybe
200s- about 30. my goal is 28 or less.
400s- about 65. i wanna go for 59 or less
to improve, i'm gonna do some weight training three times a week, some p90x, jump rope, and running a few miles every week. also im a little overweight so im gonna hopefully lose 15 lbs. or more of fat (not muscle) which will help my speed increase as well.
do u think that is enough to make my times improve by 2-3 whole seconds for the 100 and 200, and 6 seconds for the 400? If not what else should i do? Any drills, tips,anything? Please include details if possible. thanks!
