I'm planning to purchase a Rx8 R3 sometime this year or next. I've done all my research and this is the car I defintely want. Problem is that I would really want the white R3 that's offered in Canada but not in the U.S., and I'm from California.
I would probably go out there to visit some friends and on the way back purchase the car in cash and drive it back to the states. ( After the ferry ride)
- What are the regulation a car would have to go through to get it registered in the U.S. if bought from Canada?
- What other steps are involved? I know it's a pretty long and fustrating process.
- Price difference is pretty huge when comparing Canada price to U.S. price. 41k>31k. Is it really that much?
- If it's too much trouble I'll just purchase a new black R3 here for 25k.
Anything else I will need to know would be very helpful.
