Important Series of Days in the 1960s, 1970s, or 1980s?

I'm doing a project for my history class where I need to pick a topic pertaining to a piece of American History, in the 60s, 70s, or 80s.

I was hoping to do a report on a series of days that happened in that time, something huge and influential but only took like, say, 7-10 days or so to happen.

Thoughts?
