It was good and bad in many ways! At first, Europeans flooded in for jobs that were definitely needed for all the nations involved. Although these positions were filled up quick, more and more immigrants flooded in for the hope of a job. Eventually, this over crowding led to crime and great poverty. It is a joyful and sad part of American History.
