IMAP email problems on E61

I can't seem to get emails sent from my E61 to show up in the sent box on the IMAP server. Strangely, the outgoing mail server setting (per Cingular) is cwmx.com but if I set the outgoing mail server to be the same as on my PC emails can't be sent. Does anyone know how I can get around this? Currently I 'm cc;ing myself on emails sent from E61 but that's a duct tape solution at best...

Your solution is the best that can be done with the E61's default email client.

Would you recommend getting another email client? if so, which one and how. I'm on a Mac

I'm using Profimail but it has its limits, too. For example you can't limit the number of headers/messages stored on the phone by number or time period. As for your "issue" with the SMTP server that's normal behavior.
