I've asked questions like these before, but got conflicting answer from the muslim community. Most say its forbidden to have images of human faces displayed, yet you see huge pictures of leaders of the islamic nations prominently displayed on buildings and even statues erected of them all over the country, especially during election time. Why is this so?

We follow prophet Moses and Jesus

Christians follow church

This is the difference

When christians go to church and wait in front of the picture or statue of Jesus they think they do something logical .It is drug, paganism.Religion is Book,Knowledge,Logic and Application of them in daily life.If they let us, we will destroy these statues but if we do it ,they put us into prison :).they want we obey these statues, respect them and we are muslims and these are our countries and we are called as radicals and they are called as moderate.

From what I know, it is forbidden to keep posters or pictures of people's faces INSIDE one's house.

I don't think the same applies outside of the house.

This is a very good question. If you did a project that was top quality for school and someone else copies it, and submits it to the teacher, how would you feel? God created man and all creatures, so making a picture demeans Gods power. These pictures also attract yourself towards them and away from God. I hope this answers your question.
