i'm trying to get my website to access a mySQL database and display images (of doors) when it gets it from the database (using PHP)

only problem is it keeps coming up with alot of this type of stuff where the images should be:

?i?????8?)h?N?G[?Hm*PCiIR?$I????... ??m?6??? ?*?t$k_????OW>9?>U??Y?? ?|g??#??????in?_Q?+?? ??v??J^?v?E)S?%[??R?%???:rG?;%???=
?76???5}]???[??{???&A^e?6? #???q????M??t<???????1Y?1???"z+?t$o<...

i read up and found something to do with upload-max-files size
and it being no greater than 2mb, is this right if so is there a way to make it bigger, if not how do i go about sorting this.

there is nothing wrong with the images or the database itself they work fine and all the text and numbers information appears fine too

the images are coming from the database but there is a file where the image are which i'm assuming is what is being called upon.

i'm on a linux system i'm running firefox and opera, i think its opera V9

i can't tell you any information about the server i'm afraid cause i'm doing all this on a University computer as my PC at home blew
