IMAC G5 Will not start in safe mode?

My daughters IMAC G5 will not start in safe mode.
it is showing apple logo and rotating wheel but then shuts down. When we try to start in safe mode it shuts down faster. Can anyone please offer any suggestions.

good luck trying to work on that...probably couldnt even find parts if you knew what to replace.

maybe a good time to upgrade her to a real computer.

and its so true...one of my PCs had something kinda the same going on a few weeks ago....troubleshooted it down to a bad mobo....went to Frys Electronics...got a new mobo for about 60 bucks....put it in and works perfect now.
Try to do that with an imac...they will laugh at you if you tell them you want parts for one.
