imac exchange policy?

ok i bought a imac on april the 18 n just today new ones came out. when i called the store to see if i can exchange it for a updated one. they wanted to charge me a restocking fee, i called apple support and they said i should be able to get a exchange without having to pay the restocking fee, but the manegers at the store wont go by the policy and want to srew me with the restocking me, what should i do?
