I am writing a sonnet. I'm know a small bit of iambic pentameter. But I'm not 100% exact on the way it works. I know stressed syllable then unstressed. 10 syllables. But sometimes I say things that I think are stressed and unstressed but I guess not. Here is what I have so far:
I'm told, some things in life need no statement
Things such as, "Never anger a wild beast"
Why place fate in such dangerous places?
I know I would never try such a feat!
But I ask, "what of the lion tamer"?
This is what I have so far. I was thinking of going into how his job is to piss of the lion. And so on and so forth. Any ideas? Is this right so far? What should I change? What could I add? Any help is greatly appreciated

This isn't a paraphrase nor is it a quote of sorts. I made it all up. In the line "never anger a wild beast", I'm saying it myself as if someone told me that as advice. In the line "but what of the lion tamer"? I'm asking a question. The point of the sonnet is basically about flirting with danger. You are always told not to. But the lion tamer makes his job of pissing off the lion you know.
Now I ask, knowing the above information, is it still worthless and should be thrown away?
