I'm worried that i wont be able to give up e61 anymore...

particularly the way i am now sooo comfortable with the qwerty... more so now, that i have been using less and less of my 5500 coz i am selling it... after more than 6 months of use, this e61 keys are just so easy to use and so practical in many ways...

when i 1st bought my e61, the only thing that hesitated me from buying it was the qwerty and i never thought that i would really like this form factor, but then it took me only 3 days to get used to it, and 1 week to fully like it and master it and after that i am just hooked... imagine if i have the N95 and i just keep on going back to the E61!!!

i am worried now... perhaps i should buy the N93 now just to see if i can lick this e61 attachment...

Holy mother youve been reading my mind. Used my N73 for about a month and it's been back in the box for the past 3 weeks as i'm rededicated to my E61. I already purchased the su-8w for when the 95 comes out cause i've grown so accustomed to the qwerty. I surf the web and post more on my E61 than i ever thought I would and I just dont know if that will be the case with the N95. Who knows...maybe the next gen E6? will have the 5mp gps 30fpscam and full qwert all in one. I know that i'll never sell my E61 regardless of whether I have the N95 or not (and I'll have it) I love this thing!! (probably not as much as this guy but close... http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1051851)

I know that the E61 can be a very addictive phone......but I'm sure if they release it's successor with the camera and same qwerty keyboard and gps....you will for get about it and very quickly.

i went through a similar dilema after i sold my siemens SK65. after i sold it i finally had to learn how to use t9. but now that i have the e62 i am back i qwerty heaven!

I feel the same..after using my E61 for sometime and selling it to get a N73...its so hard to adapt. I really miss the E61...and qwerty and the sexy screen and wifi..but the N73 isn't that bad at all...minus the fact it doesn't have a qwerty.

I agree!! I think a 2mp-3.2mp camera is reasonable with the same vid qualities as the N73 (15fps I believe) is reasonable. GPS is a must for business users so the fact that the original E61 doesnt have it built in must mean that nokias technology was quite refined yet (just a guess). If Motonextels can run built in gps for a couple of years now, I would hope that nokia can offer the same. I'm still going for the N95 though as the 5mp/30fpsvid & GPS with the comparable E61 screen is enough to take the cake.

I agree the qwerty format rocks. I could never go back to a regular keyboard. I however, prefer a hidden qwerty. One that slides or folds away. Out of site, but there when ya need it. E70, 9300b, MDA.

ear piece is loud enough for most noisy environments (within reason) and the ringtone volume is loud as a mofo imo. Speaker phone is typical nokia meaning only in quiet situations at best.....I use it with a BT headphone 99percent of the time and the audio volume is very loud!....good choice if you dont need the camera.

Woudlnt the speaker phone vol and the ringtone vol be the same speaker. I have the 6620 and I find its to low. Then you get the 6126 and that phone is very loud!

Well, my SIM is currently in an E70-2. It seems like the best compromise. I can use the phone keypad for many things, and go to the QWERTY keyboard when I need it. I don't travel overseas much so GSM 850/1800/1900 suffices.

With the 9300b I get tired of having to open it for almost everything that isn't a voice call. Love the large screen though, perfect for ssh sessions with putty. The CPU is also slower than the E61/E70, no WiFi, and no vibrate. I've also become attached to using the SIP client on the E61 and E70 with WiFi. The old version of Opera on the 9300b also isn't great. S60v3 offers a more modern Opera (for a few dollars) as well as the built in KHTML based browser, which is quite good.

For me, the biggest downside of the E70 is the physically smaller screen.

For Verizon, I live with the BB, but that's a different story. There isn't a lot of choice with VZW and I must say that the RIM user interface is very quick and efficient.

Someone might notice that I'm avoiding Windows Mobile devices. Yes, that's my bias.

You would think that would be the case but it isnt. I know before upgrading my FW people has stated that the overall volume of the unit had decreased but I havent noticed....I know my 8801 has an extremely loud ringtone volume but very poor speakerphone. Dont ask me why

I never really use the speaker on either one enough to really compare them. I think earpiece volume goes to the N73 and the ringtone is about even....they are both really loud...

I only use speaker when im home checking voicemails. Neither one can be used on speaker ina practical manner while driving.
