I'm trying to write science-fiction novel about another Earth with humans...

...inhabiting it.? I am a very strict Catholic, but lately I've been getting interested in science fiction (IE: Mass Effect, Halo, Avatar, etc.) and I am trying to write a science-fiction novel that doesn't contradict the Bible or Jesus' teachings.

I don't really want aliens, but instead ancient civilizations and empires that refused to progress, and uphold their cultural beliefs much like the Amish and monks.

Is it against the Bible to believe that there is another world with humans living on it? I was even thinking dinosaurs are still in existence on this world.

For any other strict Christians, this is only an idea for a novel, not what I actually perceive to be true; it is called 'science-FICTION' after all. I am very strict with my beliefs in God and will, in absolutely no way, contradict his teachings. So far one of my character's is a postulate of a Spanish convent and I'm going to keep it that way.

Thanks very much.

Wouldn't humans go extinct?A spear won't do much good against a pack of raptors...

To not go against the bible, do this:
Do not call them humans make everything up from the start.
It is Fiction so you can say anything.

To not make people mad do NOT say that Jesus went to another planet and
started life there after he went up to heaven.

Do not try to intermingle truth with lies.

that is what the davinci Code did and the Church did not like people believing fiction as truth
