Im trying to video chat on aim but my mic wont work?

i can hear the other person but they cant hear me..and this only works very few times :/

the microphone is checked on the sounds settings,
its NOT muted
and the volumes are up high

Helpp pleasee im not sure whats wrong but i cant use it for some reason? and ive tried plugging and unplugging the plugs to the headset but still wont work!

Make sure it's plugged in firmly. Otherwise, reinstall the microphone software. If there's a different port, try that, too.
